Certification Process

a) Enquiry and Fee Quotation: Upon receipt of an enquiry, the client is forwarded with a copy of RSBV Questionnaire which is to be completed by applicant and returned back to RSBV. Based upon the information provided, a detailed offer including financial proposal is submitted for client’s consideration and acceptance.

b) Once a client accepts and approves the proposal for certification, the process of certification commences with scheduling of audits on mutually agreeable dates. Audits are generally conducted in two stages. Stage 1 audit is conducted to check the adequacy of management system documentation. Stage 2 audit is conducted to verify the implementation and effectiveness of documented system.

c) Any shortcomings identified during the audit are submitted to client as non conformities. Once the client addresses the non conformities and submits the suitable corrective action, the report is review by technical committee for certification decision.

d) Certification cycle is for three years. Surveillance audits are conducted at the end of 1st and 2nd year in order to verify the suitability of management system

e) Extension of Certification:- Whenever the clients applies for the extension of Scope/ addition of sites, facilities etc. the same is verified during a special visit or at the next surveillance audit and based upon the recommendations of Lead Assessor and verification of audit reports a decision is taken for issue of amended certification for scope extension.
